Attaching Your Hair System
Just like there is more than one best solution for hairloss, there are many way to attach your hair system, depending on the type of base you use. We are including our recommended method for attaching your system for bases with no lace, a lace front or full lace.
BASE TYPE: NO LACE
If you use a hair system with a no lace, here’s the method we recommend for attaching your system:

1. If you wear a regular base with no lace, apply scalp protector to the area of your head where you’ll use adhesive. The scalp protector will form a shield between your scalp and the adhesive, preventing perspiration or oil from breaking down the adhesive bond.

2. Apply tape on the perimeter of the system, as shown.

3. Use positioning spray on the areas where the tape will make contact with your scalp. Positioning spray will cause your adhesive to take a little longer to set, giving you extra time to perfectly position your hair system. The more you apply, the longer the time to set.

4. Remove the backing from the tape on the front-hairline area of your unit. Place the hair system on your head and adjust the front hairline to the proper position.

5. Remove the backing from the tape on the rest of your unit.

6. Press the hair system into place and smooth it down.

7. Secure the unit by pressing down with a brush.
BASE TYPE: LACE FRONT
If you use a hair system with a lace-front base, here’s the method we recommend for attaching your system:

1. Spray Top Loc Knot Sealer onto the lace portion of the unit as shown. This will seal the knots in the system to prevent loss of hair.

2. If you wear a regular base with no lace, apply scalp protector to the area of your head where you’ll use adhesive. The scalp protector will form a shield between your scalp and the adhesive, preventing perspiration or oil from breaking down the adhesive bond.

3. Apply tape on the perimeter of the system, as shown.

4. Use positioning spray on the areas where the tape will make contact with your scalp. Positioning spray will cause your adhesive to take a little longer to set, giving you extra time to perfectly position your hair system. The more you apply, the longer the time to set.

5. Remove the backing from the tape on the front-hairline area of your unit. Place the hair system on your head and adjust the front hairline to the proper position.

6. Remove the backing from the tape on the rest of your unit.

7. Press the hair system into place and smooth it down.

8. Secure the unit by pressing down with a brush.
BASE TYPE: FULL LACE
If you use a hair system with a full-lace base, here’s the method we recommend for attaching your system:

1. Spray Top Loc Knot Sealer by Walker on the underside of the hair system to help seal the knots in the hair, then let dry. This will prevent hair loss from the unit.

2. Apply scalp protector to the area of your head where you’ll use adhesive. Let the adhesive dry before moving to the next step.

3. Full-lace units are quite soft, so we recommend applying bonding tape to your head instead of directly on the hair system. Begin at the front to establish your hairline.

4. Place the bonding tape on your head, as shown.

5. Remove the backing from the tape at the front of your head. Use repositioning spray on the tape so you will have time to move and adjust the system to the proper position.

6. Place the hair system on your head and adjust to the proper position for your hairline.

7. Lift the back portion of the unit and remove the backing from the bonding tape.

8. Use repositioning spray on the tape as shown. This will temporarily make the tape non-sticky.

9. The repositioning spray will allow you to make adjustments to the position of the unit, so you can smooth it down and get it to fit snuggly to your scalp.

10. Add liquid adhesive to the scalp under the edge of the base, as needed.

11. Secure the unit by pressing down with a brush.
